Tuition & Affordability
Heilicher is committed to making our high-quality educational experience accessible to as many families in the community as possible. Tuition levels are set by the Board of Trustees to reflect this value of inclusivity balanced with the school’s operational needs.
Important Note: No family pays 100% of the cost of a Heilicher education. The Annual Fund and other fundraising efforts subsidize every student’s education each year.
Tuition also includes supplies and technology fees. This covers “back-to-school” items that most schools ask families to purchase and helps support the school’s technology infrastructure, including student use of Chromebooks and iPads.
Additional charges not included in tuition may include: meals, school-sponsored aftercare, co-curricular programming and athletics, and replacement of lost school-provided materials.
Tuition can be paid in full prior to the start of the school year or monthly by automatic withdrawal from your checking or savings account. Families prepaying full tuition will receive a 5% credit, up to $250, on their account for the 2024-2025 school year.
Financial Assistance
We are committed to being a socioeconomically diverse school community. Families are granted financial assistance based on demonstrated need and availability of scholarship funds. Financial assistance awards are grants from Heilicher that are not expected to be repaid.
We encourage all families to carefully evaluate their ability to pay tuition, and we expect families to contribute to the educational cost at the highest possible level given their economic situation. Currently, about two-thirds of Heilicher families receive some degree of financial assistance.
How to Request Financial Assistance
Families apply online annually through a third-party service, Clarity. Clarity offers a streamlined and user-friendly application process that can be completed in just a few minutes. All personal information is held in the strictest confidence. An application for tuition assistance will not prejudice an application for admission. If you are interested in receiving information regarding financial aid, please request this information when filling out an admissions application.
Heilicher takes the privacy and security of your personal information very seriously. Clarity is certified for both GDPR and SOC2 and uses enterprise-level security standards including end-to-end encryption of all personally identifiable information.
If you have further questions, please contact the finance office at 952.381.3525, or Admissions Director Deborah Getsug at 952.381.3523. We are available to speak with you confidentially and provide you with tools to estimate your family’s expected tuition contribution.
Grants
Mindy and Dan Ribnick Family Tution Grant
Due to the generosity of Heilicher alumni parents Mindy and Dan Ribnick, the school will once again offer a tuition grant program for Heilicher students whose parents or guardians volunteer in the Jewish community.
The Mindy and Dan Ribnick Family Tuition Grant Program for Community Volunteers makes possible grants of 18% of total tuition (chai) for approximately four Heilicher students per school year. Any parent or guardian of a newly enrolled or reenrolled student(s) for the 2024-2025 school year is invited to submit an application communicating their current Jewish community volunteer roles and involvement.
Grant award decisions will be made by a committee of Heilicher professionals after reviewing all applications. Awards are not financial-need based. Awards are guaranteed for one school year only.
Applications must be completed and submitted by Friday, May 31, 2024, to be considered for the coming grant cycle. ONE application will be accepted per family. Awards will be communicated to recipient families by Monday, June 10, 2024. Awards will be credited against owed tuition for the 2024-2025 school year and will be in addition to any need-based financial aid awarded.
Please note that Heilicher Board members and Heilicher faculty and staff who already receive an employee tuition discount are not eligible for this tuition grant program.
Volunteerism at Jewish schools qualifies, but priority will be given to volunteer roles that are not specifically associated with one's own child's classroom or experiences.
