Admissions
The Heilicher Minneapolis Jewish Day School values a strong partnership with families that begins with our admissions process.
As families move through the process of touring, applying, screening, and ultimately joining the school community, we provide many opportunities to get to know each other and answer any questions that come up along the way.

Special Considerations
No prior Hebrew
For students joining Heilicher in grades 1-6, we provide beginner-level Hebrew language groups to ensure that students are able to fully participate even with little or no prior Hebrew experience. Students entering second grade or above will be asked to engage in private Hebrew tutoring during the summer preceding their enrollment. We offer seventh and eighth graders who have no prior Hebrew language skills a course on the history of modern Israel.
Non-Discrimination Policy
The Amos and Celia Heilicher Minneapolis Jewish Day School admits students of any sex, race, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school, and it does not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, or any other school-administered programs.
"As we watched the pandemic march across the globe and create massive uncertainty, it’s comforting to know that our kids’ school is nimble and can easily adjust to shifting conditions. No one can predict the arc of this pandemic, but we are thankful for the ways in which the school has responded to meet our kids’ needs."
